Parent questions
What ages can join the Lewiston Wrestling Club?
Kids and teens ages 4–18. Groups are set by experience rather than age, and coaches move wrestlers up when they're ready.
Does my child need wrestling experience?
No. The beginner groups are for first-season wrestlers and start with stance, motion and learning to love the mat.
Where does the club practice?
In the LHS Wrestling Room at Lewiston High School, 3201 Cecil Andrus Way, Lewiston, Idaho 83501.
When are practices?
Fall 2026: Beginner Group 1 (new wrestlers): Monday and Wednesday, 5:30–6:30 PM; Beginner Group 2 (new wrestlers): Tuesday and Friday, 5:30–6:30 PM; Intermediate (1–2 years): Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30–7:30 PM; Advanced (3+ years): Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:30–8:00 PM. Schedule changes are posted on the Programs page and sent to parents in the club app.
When is the wrestling season?
The Fall 2026 season runs September 1 to December 19, 2026.
How much does it cost?
Season registration is $75 per wrestler. Wrestlers also need a USA Wrestling membership card.
How do I register my child?
Create a parent account at https://www.lwclub.org/app/register, add your athlete, sign the waiver and pay the season fee online.
Do wrestlers need a USA Wrestling card?
Yes. It's required for insurance at practice and tournaments. Buy or renew it at usawmembership.com, then add the card number to your athlete's profile.
What should my child bring to practice?
Wrestling shoes (or clean socks at first), a water bottle with their name on it, and shorts and a t-shirt without zippers or pockets.
Is the Lewiston Wrestling Club a nonprofit?
Yes. Lewiston Wrestling Club Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) public charity, so donations are tax-deductible.
